We had to stop at a bike shop in Okehampton to replace Chris's smashed water bottle and what with one thing and another we arrived in Plymouth too late to make it to the launderette before it closed, so we are spending tonight in a room draped with wet cycling gear. Will write more when I'm confident it won't disappear. Below is an interesting Devon wedding venue - could reduce he numbers at he reception!

Waiting for the Armada
Currently in Plymouth waiting for the food we ordered some considerable time ago to appear - to be honest my money is on the Armada. We are overlooking the Hoe and have a magnificent view of the bay, so you can always imagine the Spanish rounding the point (possibly the cycling today took more out of me than I thought). The wi-fi tonight is steam driven is I'm not going to make this long - I have already lost an entire post when the system froze - I am hopeful that the land of baguettes and bike tours will prove to be more efficient. 63 miles today, which was largely distinguished by a lung busting climb up on to Dartmoor and a very annoying section of the cycle way which was rough, covered in loose stones and rubble and was VERY steep. I had a job stopping the laden bike from escaping ad rocketing off downhill with me clinging to the back wheel screaming for want of anything more useful to do.
